Finding the stand

3187 Route 9W, New Windsor, NY 12553. Look for the Lagomberry sign by the road. Street numbers on 9W will take you to the house; the stand has its own point on the map, Plus Code FXMM+P7 New Windsor, NY.

The stand is outside and self-serve. The house behind it is a private home, so there is no need to knock. If something is not right, call or text 347-967-2444: we live next door and will come right over.

how it works

A bakery with no counter.

There is no register and nobody ringing you up. Everything goes through your phone, which is also how we know what to bake more of.

  1. 01
    Take what you want

Everything on the shelf is bagged and priced. The tag in front of each loaf is what it costs.

  2. 02
    Scan the code

Your phone camera is enough. No app, no account.

  3. 03
    Pay and go

Tap what you took, then Apple Pay, Google Pay or a card. There is no cash box.

on the shelf

What is on the stand, and what to order ahead.

On bake days the stand carries our three everyday loaves, Whole Wheat, European Rye and Cinnamon Raisin, baked that morning. Sweets turn up when there are extras. For Naked Rye, or for anything on a particular day, order ahead by Sunday night.

Whole Wheat Sourdough

Crackly crust, open crumb. Flour, water, salt and starter, nothing else.

Add to bag →
European Rye Sourdough

Dark, deep and a little tangy. Rye and wheat flours, a touch of molasses.

Add to bag →
Cinnamon Raisin Sourdough

Plump raisins and a ribbon of cinnamon through every slice.

Add to bag →
Naked Rye Sourdough

All rye, with sprouted rye berries baked in whole. Dense on purpose: slice it thin.

Sweets, baked to order:

Lorraine, founder and baker, with a table of loaves
the baker

Baked next door to the stand, by Lorraine.

Every loaf is mixed, shaped and baked by Lorraine in our kitchen in New Windsor. She has fed the same starter, Lagom, every morning since 2023. Lagom is Swedish for “just the right amount”.

No commercial yeast, no preservatives, no dough conditioners. The wheat and rye loaves ferment long and slow, which is why we ask for orders by Sunday: the week’s dough is planned before it is mixed.
